My all time favorite Deli is Dante's Gourmet Deli http://www.dantesitalianspecialties.com/. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with delicious smells and a feast for the eyes.
Right from the door you have fresh produce and pasta in all shapes and sizes. His deli cases are filled with with fresh roast veggies, olives and an array of salads.
He also carries over 100 cheeses, an array of prosciutto type hams and sausages. He can also be your butcher, he carries porter house steaks, chicken and veal to name just a few. I got the lamb I cooked for Easter from him. I have also pick up quail, and bunch a different cheeses and breads from him over the past few months. I am super lucky that he so close to my job. We must eat there at least 3 to 4 times a week. My boss orders a salad nearly every time. And they are never the same. He said it's like a scavenger hunt to see what surprises of tastes and textures you will find. I order a panni nearly everyday and have not gotten the same sandwich yet. And now from time to time the owner Anthony comes up with special panni's creations just for me. They blow my mind every time. So if you are in the area your taste buds and belly, oh hell all your senses will be so happy you stopped in.
It's awesome you stopped by!!.....Thanks

The Man in My Life
This is the man in my life.
He my beloved Ferret Gus. He is so smart and gets into everything. He just loves to climb and bite things. But he doesn't bite me he is actually very gentle. Like I said he gets into everything and he found the basement. Due to me leaving the door slightly open. This is a video of him trying to get back down there after I brought him back up.
One of his favorite things is getting into things
He he is in one of his favorite beds
And recently I started taking him on walks outside around the house. He is loving it.
What can I say I'm in love

Wine of the Moment
This week I'm drinking
Nero D'Avola from Jacuzzi a California wine. Cherry and Strawberry flavors with a slight Peppery bite. It was a full body and extra smooth finish. It had a garnet Red in color. It went amazingly well with the Kobe beef burgers and grilled veggies I had with it.

My awesome red door table
About a month ago I picked up this red door for free from Craig's list
I just fell in love with it and couldn't leave it behind. You see I went to pick up another door and came home with 3. LOL But look at it... It really has some character doesn't it. I just couldn't let it go to the dump. I decided to make it into a table. This is the under side.
I scraped off the most of the peeling paint there were 3 colors that were reveled. The top white, a pink color in the middle and a very light yellow on the bottom. I coated it with an outdoor sealer. I thought I bought the clear sealer but it ended up having a yellow tint.
I also sealed some legs I picked up from Home Depot.
I put it all together and Voila
Now I have a unique table. There is going to be some added detail work done in the future. Want to add some hinges, a door knob and some metal straps. I'm waiting till I go to the Brimfield Antique Fair in August. to see it I can find something unusual.

Side note. I'm sending a shout out to my Aunt who came over this weekend to help me get all these projects done. Without her help I wouldn't have stay as focused to get all this done.
It's awesome that you stopped by!!!....Thanks

My Veggie Garden
A couple of weeks ago I posted how a friend help me move a couple of bushes.
Can't wait to start picking!!! And look a surprise. When the Peonies were moved a piece of the root must have been sliced and now!!!!
A new bush is growing. I'll let it stay there for now. Think I'll move it next year after it blooms.
And a little further down I'm starting a herb garden right now we have Rosemary and Basil.
And remember those pumpkins plants that started on their own. I decided to let them grow where they stood.
It's awesome you stopped by!!!....Thanks

Curried Chicken Salad
My favorite chicken salad recipe is this Curried Chicken Salad http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/87/CurriedCranberryChickenSala69051.shtml
I almost always double this recipe but I don't double the mayo amount. I don't like so much mayo in my chicken salad. Another thing you want to make sure is that you are using a really good Curry. I like Jamaican Curry but not the hot variety. The other one I use is McCormick Gourmet Collection.

Another thing to consider is the ratio of apple to chicken. Sometime there seems to be more apple than chicken, It doesn't bother me when this happens, so go with what you like best.
When I do this recipe as an appetizer so I put it in a Boston lettuce to display surrounded with crackers.
This is just an individual serving just to show you how it would look.
Oh yeah, I don't use the nuts in the recipe just my preference. Enjoy!!!!
