Garden pails

A month or so ago I go these pails off of Craig's list.

I saw a idea for an outdoor umbrella stand in one of my magazines using a large planter as the base for the umbrella. Since I wanted to do a canopy instead I'm using 4 of these as base supports for the poles.

I spray painted them green and added rocks to the bottom for weight, topped it off with dirt and plants.

That's Gus giving his approval to my work. Coming in a future posting is the canopy addition keep posted.
