Saturday's Lunch with Friends

This past Saturday some friends and I went to a local restaurant were Their Philosophy is


Source locally whenever possible.
Use ingredients in season.
Preserve the season.
Beer is good.

The Birdsall House (http://www.birdsallhouse.net/) was a local bar for many years. Under a different name. Sadly the owner died with no one to take over. These guys overhauled the joint and now it serves local food and its super good.
We had

Calamari Salad
Looks great doesn't it. A different twist on a calamari salad with Aloi dressing and a soft boiled egg
We also had a Beet and Grain Burger


Isn't that just a great combo for a veggie burger!!
And Polenta with Spinach Mushrooms with Deep Fried Egg.

Have you ever heard of a deep fried egg. The first time I was here and saw this on the menu I had to have it just to see how you can deep fry a soft boiled egg. It sure was yummy.
This place also has a  gazillion beers to choose from. What ever your taste in beer they'll have it.

This is the only place I can have a medium cooked burger. They are not greasy and just plain tasty. And anyone that knows me, knows that I usually order my burger dead, super cooked, leather if you get my point. It's huge that I can eat a burger cooked medium. That's how good their burgers are.

Don't worry we didn't forget dessert a delicious brownie topped with cholocate ice cream
